UB700G HDMI2.1 HDR HID+ Overview
Capturing an HDMI 2.1 source often means 8K or high-refresh 4K, and the host may be a laptop or small PC with only USB to spare. The UB700G HDMI2.1 HDR HID+ is Yuan’s USB HDMI video capture device for that job, taking one HDMI 2.1 input up to 8K60 and passing the signal on through a loop-through output. It can suit test benches, streaming desks and recording setups where the source PC also needs controlling from the capture side.
The input accepts 7680 x 4320 at 60/50 fps, 3840 x 2160 at 144 or 120 fps and 1920 x 1080 at 240 fps, with 422 10-bit and 444 8-bit HDR. Over USB 3.2 the device outputs MJPEG up to 4K144, NV12, I420 and MJPEG at 4K60 and 1080p240, YUY2 at 4K50 and P010 at 4K30, with RGB24 at 1440p60 and below. Audio comes from HDMI embedded audio or an analog stereo line input at 16-bit, 48 kHz.
The host link is USB 3.2 Type-C as a UVC device. On a USB 3.0 port Yuan lists MJPEG up to 4K144 and NV12 at 4K30, and USB 2.0 ports reach 720p30. A second USB 2.0 connection carries keyboard and mouse signals to the target PC. In the same USB range, the UB700G HDMI2.1-L HDR leaves out the keyboard and mouse link and adds 1440p240 and 1080p360 input, while the UB575G HDMI2.1 HDR HID+ is an alternative HDMI 2.1 model at 8K60 that also transfers keyboard and mouse signals.
Yuan lists Windows 11, Linux and macOS support. We supply the UB700G HDMI2.1 HDR HID+ tested with the host computer it will run on, with drivers and capture software installed, so it is ready to record when it arrives.
