SKY-QUAD-4000SB-24 Overview

Compact computers rarely have the height or the power cabling for a full-size GPU, yet many still run inference, visualization or design workloads. The SKY-QUAD-4000SB-24 is the NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 SFF Blackwell from Advantech, a low-profile workstation GPU with 24 GB of GDDR7 and ECC at a 70 W maximum. Advantech describes the RTX PRO 4000 SFF as the card for compact, space-constrained systems.

The Blackwell GPU has 8,960 CUDA cores, the same count as the full-height RTX PRO 4000, with 280 fifth-generation Tensor Cores supporting FP4 and 70 RT Cores. At 70 W, single-precision performance is rated at 24 TFLOPS. Memory runs on a 192-bit interface at 432 GB/s. Family features include DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation, ninth-generation NVENC and sixth-generation NVDEC engines for video work, and NVIDIA Mosaic for spanning displays across several screens.

The SKY-QUAD-4000SB-24 runs PCI Express 5.0 x8 on a full-length PCIe edge connector, so it needs a x16 mechanical slot. Four Mini DisplayPort 2.1b outputs drive four 3840 x 2160 displays at 165 Hz or two 7680 x 4320 displays at 100 Hz. It supports DirectX 12, Shader Model 6.6, OpenGL 4.6 and Vulkan 1.3, with CUDA 12.8, OpenCL 3.0 and DirectCompute. The datasheet lists no power connector, so the card runs within its 70 W maximum without an auxiliary cable. It is dual slot and low profile, with an active blower and a low-profile bracket.

We supply each card tested, and we fit, configure and burn-in test the SKY-QUAD-4000SB-24 in the compact and industrial GPU computers we build. The SKY-QUAD-4000B-24 runs the same GPU at 140 W on a single-slot, full-height card, the SKY-QUAD-2000B-16 is the 16 GB low-profile option, and the SKY-QUAD-4000SA-20 is the Ada generation SFF card.
