Roadside, trackside and pumping-station cabinets can drop well below freezing overnight and heat up fast in summer sun, yet still need gigabit links between a controller, a camera and a modem. The LNX-500AG-T is the extended temperature build in the Antaira LNX-500AG series: an industrial unmanaged Ethernet switch rated -40 to 75 °C, in a 30 mm wide IP30 aluminum case that clips onto a DIN rail.
It has five 10/100/1000Base-T(X) RJ45 ports, each with auto MDI/MDI-X, so straight and crossover cables both work. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward, on a 10 Gbps switching fabric with an 8K MAC address table and a 136 Kbit memory buffer. There is no management interface and nothing to set up, so a field engineer can fit it and walk away once the links are live.
Because it is unmanaged, the LNX-500AG-T has no VLANs or ring redundancy; it simply forwards traffic between its ports and supports jumbo frames. Where a site needs a fiber uplink, the LNX-0501G-SFP-T offers the same -40 to 75 °C rating with an SFP slot, and the LNX-500AG is the standard build for indoor cabinets rated -10 to 70 °C. Power arrives on wide-range 12 to 48 V DC redundant inputs, protected against reversed polarity and backed by a resettable overload fuse, and the switch draws 5 W. The LNX-500AG-T measures 30 x 140 x 95 mm and mounts on a DIN rail or a wall. Antaira lists it as UL Class I, Division 2 certified, with FCC and CE marks, and covers it with a 5-year Antaira warranty.
