Arestech PPC-Z217PW-B62A1 21.5″ Full HD PCAP Stainless Steel Panel PC with Intel Core i3-7100U and IP66/IP69K

A capacitive touch screen gives operators the light, quick response they expect, but on a washdown line the whole computer also has to survive the hose. The PPC-Z217PW-B62A1 is the projected capacitive configuration on the Intel Core i3-7100U in the Arestech PPC-Z217 series: a 21.5 inch fanless stainless steel panel PC in 316 grade stainless steel with a completely flat front, sealed to IP66 and IP69K as a whole unit.

The Intel Core i3-7100U is a dual-core processor running at up to 2.4 GHz, with two DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM sockets for up to 32 GB and an M.2 2280 socket with PCIe x4 or SATA, which suits SCADA and MES clients, batch records and HMI software with several windows open, with operating system support for Windows 10 IoT or Professional and Linux. The display is a 250 nit 16:9 full HD LCD at 1920 x 1080 with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 178° viewing angles horizontally and vertically. The PCAP touch screen has a 7 Mohs surface and 90% transparency, and a touch on/off button lets staff switch touch off while the screen is cleaned.

Every external connection is sealed: two GbE ports on Intel i219V and i211AT controllers, two USB 3.0 ports, one on an IP67 connector at the front, and two USB 2.0 ports and one RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485 port on M12 connectors. A full-size Mini-PCIe socket with a SIM slot and an M.2 2230 E-key socket for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth take optional 4G and Wi-Fi modules with IP66 antennas. A built-in 13.56 MHz RFID reader handles operator log-in. The PPC-Z217RS-B62A1 is the same build with 5-wire resistive touch, and the PPC-Z217PW-B61A1 offers the Intel Core i5-7200U.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on an M12 connector with AT and ATX modes. The PPC-Z217PW-B62A1 is fanless, operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at 5 to 95% humidity with extended-temperature memory and storage fitted, and is shock-tested to 20 G under IEC 60068-2-27, with CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 570 x 430 x 66.9 mm, weighs 12 kg and mounts on 100 x 100 and 200 x 200 mm VESA, a yoke or a wall mount.
