The choice between an HD and a full HD panel usually comes down to the software on the screen and the light around it. The TPM-3515RW-2A2 is the Full HD configuration in the Arestech TPM-3515RW series: a 15.6 inch industrial touch monitor with a resistive touch screen behind an aluminum front bezel sealed to IP65.
The panel is a 1920 x 1080 full HD LCD at 450 nits with an 800:1 contrast ratio and 170° viewing angles, giving sharper text and more headroom in bright halls. The resistive touch screen responds to pressure, so it works with gloved fingers and a stylus, and it has a 3 Mohs surface and 80% transparency, connecting to the host over USB.
The TPM-3515RW-2A2 takes VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI, so it connects to older controllers and current industrial PCs alike. Power is 12 to 24 V DC from a single source on a two-pin terminal block, drawing 14.7 W typical, with a 50 W adapter available for mains sites. Where software is laid out for HD or brightness is less of a concern, the TPM-3515RW-1A2 offers a 1366 x 768 panel at 300 nits.
The TPM-3515RW-2A2 measures 406.6 x 261.8 x 53.2 mm, weighs 3.7 kg and fits a 392 x 244.5 mm cut-out in panels up to 7 mm thick with ten supplied screws, or mounts on 75 x 75 or 100 x 100 mm VESA. It operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at up to 95% humidity, is vibration-tested from 5 to 500 Hz at 2.16 Grms and carries CE and FCC Class A marks.
