Arestech TPM-3621PW-B6A1 21.5″ PCAP Full HD Stainless Steel Touch Monitor with IP66/IP69K Sealing and M12 Connectors

A capacitive touch screen gives operators the quick, light response they expect from a tablet, but on a washdown line it also has to survive the hose. The TPM-3621PW-B6A1 is the projected capacitive configuration in the Arestech TPM-3621 series: PCAP touch on a 21.5 inch LCD inside a 316 stainless steel enclosure sealed to IP66 and IP69K as a complete unit.

The PCAP layer has a 7 Mohs surface hardness and 90% transparency, over a 250 nit 16:9 full HD LCD at 1920 x 1080 with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles. A touch on/off button lets staff switch touch off while the screen is wiped or sprayed, so cleaning does not register as input. Touch connects over USB, and six OSD keys cover menu, up, down, auto adjust, power and a function key.

Every connection at the rear of the TPM-3621PW-B6A1 is sealed: VGA and USB on M12 connectors, HDMI on an IP67 waterproof connector and 12 to 24 V DC power on M12, drawing 16 W from a single source. Optional 2 m M12 and IP67 cables and a 12 V M12 power supply carry signals and power to an industrial PC in a remote cabinet. A 13.56 MHz RFID reader for MIFARE and FeliCa cards, connected over USB on an M12 connector, is offered as an option for operator log-in at the line. Where operators wear heavier gloves, the TPM-3621RW-B6A1 offers the same monitor with 5-wire resistive touch.

The brushed 316 stainless steel enclosure has a true-flat front, measures 570 x 430 x 66.9 mm and weighs 9.71 kg, and mounts on 100 x 100 and 200 x 200 mm VESA patterns or a yoke. The TPM-3621PW-B6A1 operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at up to 95% humidity and carries CE and FCC marks, which suits food and beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical process areas.
