DFI HPT171-CB-8845HS AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS Mini-ITX Mainboard with Dual 2.5GbE and Triple Display

A multi-screen gaming cabinet or a large self-service kiosk can ask a lot of one board: smooth 4K graphics on several displays, a payment device on ccTalk and background tasks such as media handling or local analytics. The HPT171-CB-8845HS is the eight-core, 45 W build in the DFI HPT171 series of Mini-ITX motherboards, and it puts the most processing and graphics in the range onto a 170 x 170 mm board.

Its AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS (Hawk Point) has eight cores and 16 threads, running at 3.8 GHz base and up to 5.1 GHz boost, with a 45 W TDP that DFI lists as configurable from 35 to 54 W. Radeon 780M graphics with RDNA3 cores handle 4K output and video, and two DDR5 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 96 GB at 4800 MHz for large media assets or several applications at once.

Three DP++ outputs run at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, and an M.2 A-key socket takes a DFI display module for a fourth screen on LVDS, eDP, HDMI, DP or VGA, so a built-in panel can connect directly. Two Intel I226 2.5GbE ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 ports on internal headers, RS-232 and RS-232/422/485 on DB9, two TTL and two ccTalk headers and 8-bit DIO cover the peripherals. A PCIe x16 slot with eight Gen4 lanes and an M.2 2280 socket for PCIe Gen4 x4 or SATA storage complete the expansion.

The HPT171-CB-8845HS runs from 12 V DC on a barrel connector or 4-pin connector and operates from -5 to 65 °C, with CE, FCC and RoHS compliance and a TPM 2.0.
