Diamond Systems SabreCom-CE1 Intel Core i7 or Xeon W Rugged Mission Computer with Managed Ethernet Switch and IP67

The Diamond Systems SABRECOM-CE1 is a rugged mission computer with managed Ethernet switch, for vehicles, shelters and platforms that need computing and a network in one box. Instead of a separate computer, switch and cabling, the CE1 puts both in a single IP67 enclosure of 284 x 218 x 109 mm, conduction cooled with no fan, and adds a removable solid state drive for quick data and software changes in the field.

Compute comes from a COM Express Type 6 module on Diamond’s Jasper carrier board: the Intel Core i7-1185GRE, i7-1365URE or i7-1370PRE, the Core 5 120U, or the Xeon W-11865MRE with up to 64 GB or 32 GB of ECC memory. The removable tray holds an M.2 2280 SSD from 128 GB to 2 TB with Linux or Windows installed; it is not hot-swappable. A service panel behind a cover gives HDMI, a USB 3.0 port and the replaceable RTC battery.

The switch is Diamond’s EPS-12002L, a Layer 3 managed switch with 11 GbE ports on two D38999 connectors, one GbE link to the computer, and one or two 10GbE ports: two copper ports on M12, one on a sealed RJ-45 connector, or two fiber ports on an XBeam connector. Management covers VLAN, RSTP and MSTP, link aggregation, IGMP snooping, QoS and IPv4/IPv6 static routing. A 79-contact D38999 carries the computer I/O, with four predefined options adding serial, GPIO, audio, CAN or data acquisition.

Power uses Diamond’s MIL isolated supply, accepting 10 to 60 V DC with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-1275 compliance, or a MIL-STD-461 filter for a fixed 12 V or known DC input.
