Diamond Systems SabreCom-JSP Intel Core i7 or Xeon W Military Computer with COM Express CPU and IP67 Sealing

The Diamond Systems SABRECOM-JSP is a rugged military computer for programs that need their own I/O: vehicle and airborne systems, test equipment and unmanned platforms where the connector panel is part of the design. It is built on Diamond’s Jasper carrier board, conduction cooled into the top and bottom of an IP67 enclosure with seals at every joint, and uses the same materials and methods as Diamond systems that have passed MIL-STD-810H testing.

Compute comes from a COM Express Type 6 module, so the processor can be changed later without mechanical changes when a part reaches end of life. Standard options are the Intel Core i7-1185GRE (11th Gen Tiger Lake, 32 GB), the Core i7-1365URE and i7-1370PRE (13th Gen Raptor Lake, 32 or 64 GB), the Core 5 120U, and the Xeon W-11865MRE with 64 GB or 32 GB of ECC memory. Storage is an M.2 SATA SSD from 128 GB to 2 TB, with Linux or Windows 64-bit installed.

Six front panel connectors carry the I/O. J1 to J3 are fixed: power, HDMI, and a 66-contact D38999 with two GbE ports, two USB 2.0, four RS-232/422/485 ports, audio and utility signals. J4 to J6 are the expansion positions, each a D38999 or a rugged USB 3.0 connector, in seven standard layouts. Inside, the standard case takes two Mini PCIe cards, and the taller 103 mm case adds a PCIe/104 module or four more cards. The data acquisition baseboard adds 16 analog inputs, four analog outputs and 22 digital I/O.

Power uses Diamond’s JMM-7500 isolated supply, accepting 10 to 60 V DC with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-1275 compliance, or a MIL-STD-461 filter board for a fixed 12 V or known DC input. The system is rated -40 to +75 °C and measures 254 x 214 x 80 mm in the standard case.
