DSBOX-TX2NX-XX-P Overview
Not every edge install runs unattended. Test benches, pilot lines and serviced equipment often need an operator to power a unit up and down on site. Forecr covers that with the DSBOX-TX2NX-XX-P, a fanless compact embedded computer in the DSBOX-TX2NX series that adds the power button option to the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX design while keeping the full industrial I/O set of its sibling.
The Jetson TX2 NX combines a dual-core NVIDIA Denver 2 64-bit CPU and a quad-core Arm Cortex-A57 MPCore processor with a 256-core NVIDIA Pascal GPU and 4 GB of 128-bit LPDDR4 memory. It delivers 1.33 TFLOPS for deep neural networks and processes up to 14 Full-HD video streams with the DeepStream SDK, while drawing under 15 W. The DSBOX-TX2NX-XX-P runs Ubuntu Linux 18.04.
Connectivity includes one Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, one CAN Bus port, a software-configurable RS-232/422/485 port, two digital inputs and three digital outputs, plus one HDMI 2.0 output at up to 3840 x 2160. Storage combines 16 GB of eMMC 5.1 flash, a MicroSD slot and an M.2 Key-M SSD socket, and M.2 Key-E and Key-B sockets take WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE or 5G modules, with a SIM slot for the cellular module on Key-B. Power arrives on a 9-28 VDC input.
Forecr rates the DSBOX-TX2NX-XX-P from -25°C to +65°C ambient, and its fanless 110 x 130 x 60 mm enclosure is designed for 24/7 operation in size and power constrained systems. As a compact embedded computer for IIoT and edge analytics, it shares everything but the power button with the DSBOX-TX2NX-AA, the standard industrial I/O build for fixed installs that run without local controls.

Official Forecr USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Forecr USA distributor, and the DSBOX-TX2NX-XX-P is the power button model in Forecr's compact TX2 NX range, built for attended installs where staff control power on site. The DSBOX-NX2 keeps the same enclosure size with Jetson Xavier NX for 21 TOPS when models grow heavier, and the DSBOX-N2 offers a lower-cost Jetson Nano build for simpler analytics. The DSBOX-ORNX moves to Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano modules for current Orin-generation compute in a fanless industrial box.
Within our catalog, the DSBOX-TX2NX-XX-P belongs with our Jetson TX2 NX computers and our industrial mini PCs for space-limited installs on benches, lines and machines. With CAN Bus and serial on board alongside digital I/O, it is also listed among our CAN bus Jetson computers, which link AI directly to vehicle networks, drives and controllers without an extra interface module. The small enclosure also suits test rigs and pilot cells where bench space is shared with other equipment.
