Neousys MezIO-G4/G4P 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet and PoE+ MezIO Modules
The Neousys MezIO-G4/G4P series is a family of four-port Gigabit Ethernet MezIO modules for Nuvo and POC-900 computers, with an Intel I210 controller on every port, 9.5 kB jumbo frame support, 100 m runs on CAT-5e or CAT-6 and optional IEEE 802.3at PoE+ at 25.5 W per port. The MezIO-G4/G4P series suits machine vision, surveillance, traffic and multi-network deployments.
- Four Gigabit Ethernet Ports: Four GigE ports added inside the host computer through its MezIO interface, with no external switch to mount or power.
- Intel I210 Controller per Port: Each port has its own Intel I210 controller, giving every camera or network segment a dedicated Gigabit link.
- 9.5 kB Jumbo Frame Support: Jumbo frames up to 9.5 kB suit continuous image traffic from Gigabit Ethernet machine vision and surveillance cameras.
- Optional 802.3at PoE+ at 25.5 W: The PoE+ version powers four cameras or sensors from the computer at up to 25.5 W per port.
- 100 m on CAT-5e or CAT-6: Standard CAT-5e or CAT-6 cable runs up to 100 m per port, so devices can be mounted well away from the cabinet.

MezIO-G4/G4P Description
Camera systems and segmented industrial networks both ask for more Ethernet ports than a computer usually has. A four-camera inspection cell, a traffic camera cabinet or a machine that keeps its control network apart from the plant LAN can fill the built-in ports quickly, and an external switch adds another box, another supply and a shared link back to the computer. The Neousys MezIO-G4/G4P series adds four Gigabit Ethernet ports inside the computer instead, each on its own controller.
Both modules mount inside the host on a high-speed board-to-board connector with three-point mezzanine mounting, using the one MezIO interface each Neousys system provides. Each of the four ports is driven by its own Intel I210 controller, so every camera or network segment has a dedicated Gigabit link rather than sharing one through a switch. Jumbo frames up to 9.5 kB are supported, which suits continuous image traffic, and each port runs over CAT-5e or CAT-6 cable up to 100 m, so cameras and devices can sit well away from the cabinet. Moving the ports inside the computer also means one less power supply and one less device to monitor, which can simplify the cabinet and reduce the number of parts that need supporting over the life of the system.
The series has two modules, and the difference is power. The MezIO-G4 provides four Gigabit ports without PoE, for switches, controllers and devices with their own supply. The MezIO-G4P is compliant with IEEE 802.3at-2009 PoE+ and delivers up to 25.5 W on each port, so four cameras or sensors can draw power from the computer over the same cable. The MezIO-G4P works only in the PoE+ build of the host, such as the Nuvo-9006E/P/DE/LP, Nuvo-11006E/LP and Nuvo-11160GC PoE+ models, so we confirm the host model with your quote.
We fit the MezIO-G4/G4P module you choose inside the Neousys computer, configure the ports and test the build, including PoE+ output on the MezIO-G4P, before it ships. Both modules fit the Nuvo-9000, Nuvo-11000, Nuvo-11160GC, Nuvo-9160GC and Nuvo-9166GC series, and the MezIO-G4 also fits the compact POC-900. Typical uses include machine vision and inspection cells, surveillance and traffic cabinets, in-vehicle camera systems and any MezIO-G4/G4P installation that needs separate networks on one computer.

Official Neousys USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Neousys USA distributor, and we supply the MezIO-G4/G4P series fitted inside the Neousys computer you order, with the ports configured and the build tested before it ships. For the MezIO-G4P, we confirm the PoE+ build of the host with your quote. Where USB 3.1 cameras or devices suit the project better than Ethernet, the MezIO-U4 series adds four USB 3.1 ports on the same MezIO interface. We can check your camera models, power class and cable runs against the MezIO-G4 and MezIO-G4P before we build. Each system has one MezIO interface, so it helps to decide early whether Ethernet, USB, serial or digital I/O matters most for that position. Speak to a Neousys specialist on our team and we can work through the camera layout and PoE+ budget with you.
Across our range, the MezIO-G4/G4P series sits with our Neousys MezIO modules. The modules fit host computers including the Nuvo-11160GC, Nuvo-9000 series and Nuvo-11000 series.
