Neousys MezIO-R11 2.5″ SATA Drive MezIO Module for POC Embedded Computers

Compact embedded computers are chosen because they fit where a larger box will not, but that usually leaves room for only one drive. When a project needs to keep weeks of logs, store inspection images or record video locally, a single system drive can fill up quickly, and a USB drive or external enclosure is one more thing to mount and secure. The MezIO-R11 is part of the Neousys MezIO-R11/R12 series, and it adds a second drive inside the compact POC computer instead.

The module provides one internal SATA port for a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD. That gives the system a separate data volume alongside its main drive, so recordings and logs can be kept apart from the operating system. An SSD typically suits installations with vibration or where fast access matters, while an HDD can suit long recordings where capacity is the priority. If the same system also needs a few isolated digital signals, the MezIO-R12 adds four isolated inputs and four isolated outputs to the same drive position.

We fit the MezIO-R11 inside the Neousys system on its high-speed board-to-board connector with three-point mezzanine mounting, install the drive you specify, then configure and test the build before it ships. Each system has one MezIO interface. The MezIO-R11 fits the POC-700, POC-700-FT and POC-600 embedded computers.

Because there is only one MezIO interface, choosing the MezIO-R11 means choosing extra storage over the other MezIO options for that system. Where four more USB ports matter more than a second drive, the MezIO-U4-30 is the USB 3.1 module for the same POC computers.
