RGS-9805GC Overview
Autonomous trucks, mapping vehicles and large mobile robots now carry data-centre workloads: camera and LiDAR fusion and large AI models running in real time. The Neousys RGS-9805GC is a rugged HPC server built for that job, packing an AMD EPYC 9005 processor and two 400 W NVIDIA GPUs into a short-depth 3U 19-inch chassis, with damping brackets, wall mounting and rack mounting as standard. It follows the RGS-8805GC with a newer CPU generation and PCIe Gen5 throughout.
The CPU socket takes an EPYC 9005 Turin processor of up to 400 W, with up to 160 cores and 320 threads, and six RDIMM slots hold up to 384 GB of DDR5-6000 ECC memory. Two PCIe Gen5 x16 slots take dual-slot, full-height, full-length NVIDIA GPUs such as two RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q cards. Under full load the RGS-9805GC holds a 400 W CPU and 300 W GPUs to 50 °C, or a 300 W CPU and 200 W GPUs to 60 °C.
Five more PCIe Gen5 slots (four x16 and one x8) take frame grabbers for CoaXPress, GMSL2, 10GbE or USB 3 cameras. Storage is two M.2 2280 NVMe sockets on PCIe Gen4 x4, a front-accessible 2.5-inch U.2 tray and an internal SlimSAS port. Networking is two 10GBASE-T ports by a Broadcom BCM57416 with RDMA (RoCEv2) and one Intel I210 GbE port, beside three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI output, one RS-232/422/485 port and a second DB9 for three RS-232 ports, and two mini PCIe sockets for 4G, 5G, CAN or serial modules.
Power is 9 to 32 V DC on pluggable terminal blocks rated at 40 A per pin, with ignition control, so the RGS-9805GC runs straight from a vehicle supply. An onboard ASIL-B MCU monitors the system through its own RS-232, isolated output and isolated CAN port. The server meets MIL-STD-810H for vibration and shock and carries CE and FCC Class A. For Intel-based options, see the Nuvo-10208GC series with two 350 W GPUs and the GT-92GC series 2U rackmount.
