Premio RCO-1000-EHL Intel Atom x6425E Rugged Mini PCs with EDGEBoost I/O and Extended Temperature

Small industrial computers are often chosen for one job and then asked to take on more serial devices, another screen or a few digital signals. The Premio RCO-1000-EHL series answers that with EDGEBoost I/O, Premio’s modular expansion, in a family of fanless rugged mini PCs on the Intel Atom x6425E. The I/O can be fixed at order, so the computer arrives with the ports the project needs rather than a bundle of adapters.

Every RCO-1000-EHL model shares the same board. The quad-core Atom x6425E runs at a 12 W TDP with Intel UHD Graphics, beside one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket up to 32 GB, TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer. Storage uses a 2.5-inch SATA bay and mSATA, while an M.2 B key socket and two external SIM sockets take an optional cellular module. Two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, Intel 2.5GbE and GbE, two RS-232/422/485 ports, two CAN 2.0 A/B channels and four USB ports are standard, and EDGEBoost modules add two-port COM, four-port USB, HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort with isolated DIO.

The range splits by housing size and fitted modules. In the smallest housing, the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10 leaves its EDGEBoost bracket free, the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10A adds a third DisplayPort with isolated DIO, the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10B reaches four COM ports, the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10U has eight USB ports and the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10H adds HDMI. The mid-size RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-20 has room for more modules, with the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-20C fitted for four COM ports, a third display and DIO, and the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-20D for six COM ports. The largest RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-30 has the most room, the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-30C carries six COM ports, a third display and DIO, and the RCO-1000-X6425E-30-2P adds two 802.3af PoE ports. The 10 and 20 builds are ready for an optional Hailo-8 AI module.

In practice the RCO-1000-EHL series suits factory automation, smart infrastructure and serial gateway work. Most models run from -40 °C to 70 °C (the PoE model to 50 °C), shock and vibration are designed to comply with MIL-STD-810H, and power is 9 to 36 V DC with protection and optional ignition management. The range was designed by C&T Solution, which became Premio Taiwan in January 2026. These rugged mini PCs give a compact, fanless way to match I/O to the job.
