Premio RCO-1000-ASL Intel Atom x7000RE Rugged Compact PCs with Dual 2.5GbE and -40 to 70 °C

Small industrial computers are often chosen once and then asked to do more, as a site adds a serial device, a second screen or a remote management requirement. The Premio RCO-1000-ASL series answers that with EDGEBoost I/O brackets, slots for Premio’s plug-in I/O modules, on a fanless rugged compact PC built around Intel Atom x7000RE processors. The range was designed by C&T Solution, which became Premio Taiwan in January 2026, and keeps a wide -40 °C to 70 °C rating across every build.

Each RCO-1000-ASL model shares the same core. A four-core 9 W Atom x7433RE or an eight-core 12 W Atom x7835RE runs one DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM up to 16 GB with In-Band ECC. Storage uses an internal 2.5-inch SATA bay and an M.2 B-Key socket for an SSD or a cellular module, with two external SIM sockets, and an M.2 E-Key socket takes optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Two Intel I226 2.5GbE ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 2.0, a 4K DisplayPort, an HDMI output, two internal CAN 2.0 A/B headers and TPM 2.0 complete the base I/O. Optional EDGEBoost modules add two COM ports, four USB ports, or a DisplayPort or HDMI output with isolated four-in, four-out DIO.

The builds differ by module space and processor. The RCO-1000-ASL-X7433RE-10 and RCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE-10 have one EDGEBoost I/O bracket in the most space-saving enclosure of the range. The RCO-1000-ASL-X7433RE-20 and RCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE-20 have two brackets and add 5G and AI module support on the B-Key socket. The RCO-1000-ASL-X7433RE-30 and RCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE-30 have three brackets for the widest mix of serial, USB and display modules. The RCO-1000-ASL-X7433RE-OOB and RCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE-OOB come with the Premio EDGEBoost OOB out-of-band management module fitted, giving a dedicated management port and four COM ports in total.

In practice the RCO-1000-ASL series suits factory and machine-side cabinets, outdoor enclosures, digital signage and light industrial control. Every model runs from 9 to 36 V DC with AT and ATX modes and an optional ignition module, is designed to comply with MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration, and is UL listed to UL 62368-1 with CE, FCC Class A, UKCA and CB marks. Premio designs and builds in Greater Los Angeles, where it has worked since 1989, with engineering in Taipei and an IEC 62443-4-1 certified development process.
