Sintrones IBOX-600-ON8 NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB Fanless Rugged Embedded PC for Rail and Vehicle

Rail and road vehicles share a power problem: the supply drops, spikes and switches with the ignition. The IBOX-600-ON8 is the Jetson Orin Nano 8GB build of the Sintrones IBOX-600 series, a fanless rugged embedded PC with smart ignition management, standard RJ-45 networking and a terminal-block 9-60 V DC input.

The Jetson Orin Nano 8GB module offers 1024 CUDA cores and 32 Tensor Cores on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU at 1.5 GHz and 8 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5. It handles several camera streams on compact detection models, and the system supports JetPack 6.2 Super Mode. Sintrones measured 29.04 W at a 24 V input with the module in its 15 W mode.

On the IBOX-600-ON8, the 2.5GbE port and the GbE port use standard RJ-45 sockets, and the 9-60 V DC input arrives on a 3-pin terminal block with a dedicated ignition pin, which keeps cabling simple in cabinets and equipment bays. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports share 10 Gbps, and three DB-9 ports carry CAN FD, RS-232/422/485 and four digital inputs with four outputs, alongside HDMI with 4K output. Inside, an M.2 Key B slot with a Nano SIM takes an LTE or 5G modem, an M.2 Key E slot takes Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, a full-size mPCIe slot takes a GPS module, and an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD holds the OS. Ignition power on and off delays are configurable from seconds to hours.

The fanless aluminum enclosure measures 150 x 135 x 69 mm and weighs 1.37 kg, with DIN-rail and wall mounting. It operates from -25 °C to 70 °C ambient with 0.6 m/s airflow, is tested to IEC 60068-2-64 and MIL-STD-810G, and is compliant with EN 50155, EN 45545-2 (R25) and E-Mark. An optional backup battery bridges short supply interruptions. Where connectors face heavy vibration, the IBOX-600-M12X-ON8 uses M12 instead. The IBOX-600-ON8 is a rugged embedded PC sized for mid-range vehicle vision.
