Sintrones IBOX-604-G2 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano Drone Computers
The Sintrones IBOX-604-G2 series is a family of drone computers built on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano modules. Two GMSL-2 camera inputs, 2.5GbE and GbE, CAN FD, a built-in 3-axis accelerometer and a 10-60V DC input sized for 3S to 14S lithium batteries sit in a 120 x 115 x 32 mm aluminum enclosure under 339 g. The IBOX-604-G2 series suits UAV, AMR, mobile robot and agricultural vision deployments.
- NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano: Orin NX 16GB, Orin NX 8GB or Orin Nano 8GB modules, each with 1024 CUDA cores and LPDDR5, run onboard vision and inference.
- Two GMSL-2 Camera Inputs: Two GMSL-2 links on FAKRA connectors take supported oToBrite, e-con Systems and StereoLabs cameras straight into the Jetson module for low-latency capture.
- Under 339 g Aluminum Enclosure: A 120 x 115 x 32 mm wall-mount aluminum enclosure under 339 g keeps compute mass low on UAVs, robots and compact vehicles.
- 10-60V DC for 3S-14S Batteries: A protected 10 to 60 V DC terminal-block input with ignition detection runs directly from 3S to 14S lithium battery systems.
- MIL-STD-810H Shock and Vibration: Shock and vibration tested to MIL-STD-810H and IEC 60068-2-64, with a built-in 3-axis accelerometer for movement and orientation sensing.

IBOX-604-G2 Description
On a UAV, every gram of compute is taken from payload or flight time, so an onboard AI computer is chosen on mass and power input before anything else. The Sintrones IBOX-604-G2 series answers with a family of drone computers that put NVIDIA Jetson Orin compute and two GMSL-2 camera inputs into a wall-mount aluminum enclosure of 120 x 115 x 32 mm, with a net weight under 339 g on the manufacturer’s figures and no fan to fail.
Every model shares one build. Two GMSL-2 inputs on FAKRA connectors bring camera video straight into the Jetson module, and the Sintrones supported camera list covers oToBrite, e-con Systems and StereoLabs ZED X cameras. Networking pairs a 2.5GbE port on an Intel I226-IT controller with a GbE port from the module, one for the link to the drone system and one for LiDAR or a high-resolution sensor. CAN FD, an RS-232/422/485 port and a 3.3 V UART talk to flight controllers, and a built-in 3-axis accelerometer reports movement and orientation. An M.2 2242 Key M slot holds the NVMe SSD, M.2 Key B with dual SIM and M.2 Key E take WWAN and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, and GNSS can be added over USB or M.2.
The three models differ only in the Jetson module. The IBOX-604-G2-ONX16 carries the Orin NX 16GB with an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU and 16 GB LPDDR5, for larger models or two busy camera streams. The IBOX-604-G2-ONX8 keeps Orin NX with a 6-core CPU and 8 GB, and the IBOX-604-G2-ON8 uses the Orin Nano 8GB with the same 6-core CPU and 8 GB for lighter inference. All three have 1024 CUDA cores, and the two 8 GB models are rated to 55 °C against 50 °C for the 16GB build.
Power comes in at 10 to 60 V DC (nominal 11, 22 or 58 V) through a 3-pin terminal block with over-current, over-voltage, surge and reverse-polarity protection, ignition detection and smart power management, so the drone computers can run straight from 3S to 14S lithium packs. Shock and vibration testing follows MIL-STD-810H Methods 516.8 and 514.8 plus IEC 60068-2-64, and the IBOX-604-G2 series carries CE, FCC Class A, UKCA and IEC 62368-1 compliance. NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 or later provides Jetson Linux and the development tools, which suits UAV inspection, mapping, agricultural and AMR vision work.

Official Sintrones USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Sintrones USA distributor, and the IBOX-604-G2 is the drone-focused member of the Sintrones Jetson range. Where the same GMSL-2 camera approach is needed in a road vehicle, the IBOX-601-G2 series offers Jetson Orin in-vehicle edge AI computers, and the IMB-600 Mini-ITX developer kits let a team build and test Orin NX software on the bench first. For compact ground installs, the IBOX-600 series covers Orin NX and Orin Nano in rugged embedded PCs.
Across our catalog, the IBOX-604-G2 family sits with our edge AI computers, and its MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration testing places it among our Jetson edge computers for harsher installs. The aluminum build with no fan also belongs in our fanless computers range, where low mass and no moving parts matter on mobile equipment such as drones, AMRs and field robots.
