EAC-6100-R08 Overview
Not every robot carries a heavy perception stack; many AMRs and guided vehicles run one or two lighter models on a few cameras. The EAC-6100-R08 keeps the four GMSL camera inputs and CAN FD with the 8GB Orin NX module. It is the 8GB robotics computer in the Vecow EAC-6100 series.
The EAC-6100-R08 runs an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB module with a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor cores and one NVDLA engine, with 8 GB LPDDR5 memory. Against the 16GB build it trades memory and one deep-learning engine for a lower cost per node, which suits single-model inference. It ships with Linux and the NVIDIA JetPack SDK, and the module encodes HEVC at up to one 4K stream at 60 fps or six 1080p streams at 60 fps for recording or streaming results.
Cameras connect to the EAC-6100-R08 through four Fakra-Z connectors for GMSL1 or GMSL2 automotive cameras, and a CAN FD port links motor controllers and battery systems. Two GbE LAN ports on RJ45, with optional X-coded M12 connectors, join one USB 3.1 Gen 2 and two USB 3.1 ports, two COM RS-232/422/485 ports, 7-bit GPIO, a digital display output, micro USB console and recovery ports, a micro SD slot and an M.2 Key M NVMe SSD, while two M.2 Key B sockets, an M.2 Key E socket and dual SIM sockets take 5G, 4G or Wi-Fi modules.
Power comes in on 9 V to 50 V DC through a terminal block, with 16-mode software ignition control and a remote switch for vehicle and robot installs. The 193 x 132 x 80 mm, 1.9 kg unit wall-mounts or takes an optional DIN-rail kit, and Vecow rates it from -20 °C to 70 °C in 15 W mode and -20 °C to 55 °C in 25 W mode, with MIL-STD-810G operating shock and vibration and EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 EMC listings. Where perception and planning share the module, see the EAC-6100-R16.

Official Vecow USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Vecow USA distributor, working with EAC-6100 computers on USA AMR and guided vehicle projects. The EAC-6100-R08 suits AMRs with a lighter perception load on GMSL cameras. Within the wider Vecow range, the EAC-6000 series keeps the Orin NX core in a smaller 55 mm body with two GbE ports.
It belongs with our NVIDIA Jetson computers and our AI edge computers. The EAC-7000 series moves to NVIDIA Jetson Thor for heavier robotics workloads, and the EAC-5000 series pairs Jetson AGX Orin with eight GMSL camera inputs and a PCIe x8 slot.
