PE-3014 Overview
A computer that sits in line on an industrial Ethernet segment needs several Gigabit ports and a hardware bypass option on the card itself. The PE-3014 is the LAN bypass build in the Vecow PE-3000 series, a four-port Gigabit card with advanced 2-pair hardware LAN bypass. We specify it for systems we build where the host joins network segments rather than powering cameras.
The card carries four independent Gigabit ports on 8-pin RJ45 connectors, all running from one Intel Ethernet Controller I350 at 10/100/1000 Mbps. The host interface is PCI Express x4. The controller supports jumbo frames up to 9728 bytes, link aggregation, 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and DMA coalescing.
Vecow describes the PE-3014 as an I350 four-channel PCI Express card with advanced 2-pair LAN bypass, and the datasheet lists dual hardware LAN bypass mode for the series. The bypass relays sit behind the RJ45 ports on the board. Time synchronization covers IEEE 1588 PTP and 802.1AS. Vecow’s ordering table lists PoE+ on the PE-3004 rather than this build, so where cameras need power on the cable, that is the model to choose. The SE-1014 brings LAN bypass to a PCIe x1 switch card.
Vecow rates the PE-3014 from -25 to 70 °C operating and -40 to 85 °C storage, at 5 to 95% humidity, non-condensing, and lists CE and FCC. The board measures 168 x 121 mm with a full-height bracket. Vecow lists Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 and Linux support. Vecow names intelligent surveillance, industrial Ethernet, intelligent transport systems, mobile DVR/NVR and industrial automation for the series.

Official Vecow USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Vecow USA distributor, supplying the PE-3014 for USA industrial networking programs. Within the Vecow range the PE-3004 is the same I350 card with PoE+ on each port, and the SE-1014 offers LAN bypass on a four-port PCIe x1 switch card.
As a four-port LAN bypass card the PE-3014 sits among our PCIe network cards, our frame grabber cards and our PCIe expansion cards. Where a host sits in line and needs hardware LAN bypass, this is the card to specify.
