Vecow PE-3004 Intel i350 4-Port Gigabit PoE+ PCIe Card with Wide-Temperature Operation

The PE-3004 is the PoE+ build in the Vecow PE-3000 series, a four-port Gigabit card on one Intel I350 controller with IEEE 802.3at at up to 25.5 W per port, PCI Express x4 and -25 to 70 °C operation. It suits surveillance and mobile NVR systems that power four IP cameras.

  • Four Gigabit PoE+ Ports: Four independent 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports run from one Intel Ethernet Controller I350.
  • IEEE 802.3at PoE+: Each port supplies up to 25.5 W at 48 V DC, so each camera needs one cable for power and data.
  • IEEE 1588 and 802.1AS: Time synchronization to IEEE 1588 PTP and 802.1AS keeps frames from several cameras aligned.
  • Optional M12 Connectors: Vecow lists A-coded M12 connectors as an option to the standard 8-pin RJ45 ports.
  • Windows and Linux: Vecow lists Windows 10, 8.1 and 7 and Linux support, with operation from -25 to 70 °C.

PE-3004 Overview

A mobile NVR or a traffic system with four IP cameras needs each camera powered and connected, and the host needs one controller that handles all four links. The PE-3004 is the PoE+ build in the Vecow PE-3000 series, a four-port Gigabit card that supplies camera power from the host. We specify it for systems we build where four PoE+ cameras report to one computer.

The card carries four independent Gigabit ports on 8-pin RJ45 connectors, all running from one Intel Ethernet Controller I350 at 10/100/1000 Mbps. The host interface is PCI Express x4. The controller supports jumbo frames up to 9728 bytes, link aggregation, 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and DMA coalescing.

All four ports comply with IEEE 802.3at and supply up to 25.5 W at 48 V DC per port. Time synchronization covers IEEE 1588 PTP and 802.1AS, and our IEEE 1588 PTP white paper explains how that keeps multi-camera capture aligned. Vecow does not state a total PoE budget, so we size the 12 V feed against the camera loads. Vecow lists A-coded M12 connectors as an option. The PE-3014 is the LAN bypass build of the same card, and the PE-2004 gives every PoE+ port its own I210 controller.

PoE power comes from one 4-pin 12 V connector. Vecow rates the PE-3004 from -25 to 70 °C operating and -40 to 85 °C storage, at 5 to 95% humidity, non-condensing, and lists CE and FCC. The board measures 168 x 121 mm with a full-height bracket. Vecow lists Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 and Linux support, and names intelligent surveillance, industrial Ethernet, intelligent transport systems, mobile DVR/NVR and industrial automation for the series.

Official Vecow USA Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Vecow USA distributor, supplying the PE-3004 for USA surveillance and transport programs. Within the Vecow range the PE-3014 is the same I350 card with LAN bypass, and the SE-1004 powers four cameras from a PCIe x1 slot.

As a four-port PoE+ card the PE-3004 sits among our PoE+ camera cards, our machine vision frame grabbers and our add-in cards. Where four PoE+ cameras need one I350 controller and PTP, this is the card to specify.
