Winmate R08IB3S-VMU1 8.4″ Rugged Vehicle Mount Panel PC with Intel Celeron N2930 and Front IP65

A computer bolted into a vehicle cab faces vibration, a wide supply voltage range and dust, and a small cab leaves little room for a large screen. The R08IB3S-VMU1 is Winmate’s 8.4 inch G-WIN vehicle mount panel PC: a fanless Intel Celeron N2930 computer and an 800 x 600 screen in a compact aluminum housing with an IP65 front.

The Intel Celeron N2930 runs at 1.83 GHz with bursts to 2.16 GHz, with one DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM fitted with 4 GB and an 8 GB option. Storage is a 128 GB mSATA SSD with 256 GB and 512 GB options, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise or Ubuntu 20.04 can be supplied. The 8.4 inch panel runs at 600 nits with 600:1 contrast, and resistive touch or anti-reflection protection glass are available as front options. Power, reset and brightness keys sit beside the screen.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports on Intel controllers link to on-board networks, alongside one USB 3.2 Gen 1 and one USB 2.0 port, one RS-232/422/485 and one RS-232 port and an optional HDMI 1.4 output. A Mini-PCIe slot takes a Wi-Fi module with antenna. The R10IB3S-VMT2(HB) is the 10.4 inch XGA model in the same housing style, and the W12IB3S-VMM9(HB) is the 12.1 inch widescreen version.

Power is an isolated 10 to 60 V DC input on a 3-pin terminal block, with ignition on/off control as an option. The R08IB3S-VMU1 is fanless, operates from -10 °C to 55 °C and is designed to meet EN 50155, with vibration tested to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6 and CE and FCC marks. It measures 277 x 219.5 x 59.6 mm, weighs 2.2 kg and mounts on 75 x 75 mm VESA or an optional yoke stand.
