MXM GPU Modules

MXM Graphics Cards for Embedded and Rugged AI

An MXM graphics card puts a full discrete GPU on a module the size of a palm, so a compact or sealed embedded computer can run AI and graphics without a PCIe card. The range covers MXM 3.1 Type A and Type B+ modules across the Blackwell, Ada and Ampere embedded generations.

Options include display builds with three or four DisplayPort outputs, headless builds for compute only, memory from 4 GB to 16 GB and fan, high-airflow or heat spreader cooling, suited to rugged vehicles, medical carts, inspection systems and defense electronics where space and heat are tight.

MXM GPU Ranges Configured by Things Embedded

We work with the leading manufacturers of embedded GPUs, so the ranges below are the MXM modules we specify for compact, rugged and sealed systems. Compare them by generation, memory and power, then browse the modules above or ask an MXM specialist.

RTX PRO Blackwell Embedded MXM
Advantech

RTX PRO Blackwell Embedded MXM

60 W Type A modules with GDDR7, PCIe Gen5 and three DisplayPort 2.1a outputs, in display or headless builds.

RTX Ada Embedded MXM
Advantech

RTX Ada Embedded MXM

Type A and Type B+ modules from 60 W to 115 W with up to 16 GB GDDR6 and four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs.

RTX Ampere Embedded MXM
Advantech

RTX Ampere Embedded MXM

35 W to 115 W Ampere modules for designs already qualified on the A-series, including a headless RTX A500.

Not sure which range fits? Tell us the application and we will recommend the right model.

What to Specify in an Embedded MXM GPU

Our GPU specialists specify every module against the carrier board, the enclosure's cooling and the software it will run. These are the choices we work through with you before recommending a module.

Type A or Type B+

Type A modules suit small carriers at up to 60 W; Type B+ modules carry larger GPUs and need a proprietary thermal solution.

Cooling Option

Fan coolers, high-airflow coolers or heat spreaders that couple the GPU to a sealed, fanless enclosure.

Display or Headless

Display builds drive three or four DisplayPort screens; headless MS-Hybrid builds run compute beside the CPU graphics.

GPU Memory

From 4 GB for display duties to 16 GB GDDR6 for vision models; ECC on most current modules.

Power Envelope

Modules run from 35 W to 115 W, so the carrier's power rails and the enclosure's heat path decide the choice.

Five-Year Availability

Embedded GPUs carry long availability, so a rugged design stays buildable through its service life.
