Sintrones ABOX-5222 Intel Core Series 2 Rugged Fanless PCs with 6x 2.5GbE

Multi-camera monitoring, machine vision and connected transport all push more compute out to cabinets, vehicles and roadside equipment, where height, wiring and supply quality limit what can be fitted. The Sintrones ABOX-5222 series is a family of rugged fanless PCs for those sites, pairing Intel Core Series 2 processors with six 2.5GbE ports in a 65 mm-high aluminum enclosure measuring 210 x 240 mm without its wall-mount brackets.

Each model uses the H610E chipset with a choice of Core 7 251TE, Core 5 211TE or Core 3 201TE, and the processor-integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 drives an HDMI 2.0b output at 3840 x 2160 and a DP++ output at up to 7680 x 4320. Two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots take up to 96 GB, and TPM 2.0 plus a configurable watchdog support unattended operation. Storage pairs an M.2 2280 Key M NVMe SSD with a removable tray for two 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, so a boot drive and swappable recording drives sit in the same unit. Expansion covers M.2 Key B with dual SIM for 5G or LTE, a second M.2 Key B for GNSS or CAN FD, M.2 Key E for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and a full-size Mini PCIe socket. Four USB 3.2 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports (six optional), eight digital inputs and four digital outputs complete the I/O.

Two models separate on Power over Ethernet. The ABOX-5222 runs its six Intel I226-LM 2.5GbE ports as data links, for cameras and sensors that already have their own supply. The ABOX-5222P adds PoE+ on the same six ports, at 25.5 W per port within a 120 W total budget, so IP cameras and PoE sensors can draw power and data from one cable. Both share the processor options, memory, storage and enclosure, which keeps spares and mounting common across a mixed estate.

Power comes in at 9 to 60 V DC (nominal 12, 24 or 48 V) through a 5-pin terminal block with over-current, over-voltage, surge and reverse-polarity protection, ignition detection and smart power management, which suits vehicle and battery supplies. The rugged fanless PCs operate from -40 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, are tested to MIL-STD-810H Methods 514.8 and 516.8 and IEC 60068-2-64, and carry CE, FCC Class A, UKCA, E-Mark and IEC 62368-1 compliance on the Sintrones datasheet. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS are supported, and the ABOX-5222 series suits production lines, machine vision, multi-camera monitoring and connected transport.
