Vecow RAC-1000 NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin IP67 Waterproof Computers with GMSL or M12 PoE+ and Isolated CAN FD

Machines that work in fields and on building sites get hosed down, rained on and covered in dust, and their computers sit in the same conditions. The Vecow RAC-1000 series is a family of IP67 waterproof computers for that environment, on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin and AGX Orin Industrial modules, with sealed M12 connectors throughout and no fan. The range splits into camera models and PoE models, each offered on three Jetson modules, so the I/O choice and the compute choice can be made separately.

Every RAC-1000 model shares the same enclosure and front panel. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports sit on M12 X-coded connectors, two isolated CAN FD ports share an M12 A-coded connector, and two M12 COM ports handle RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485. Two sealed USB 3.1 Type-A ports and a sealed HDMI 2.1 output at up to 4K at 60 Hz complete the I/O. Storage is two M.2 Key M sockets and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1, with M.2 Key B and Key E sockets inside and a PCIe Gen 3 x8 slot available by request. Power is 9 to 50 V DC on a K-coded M12 connector, with 16-mode software ignition control.

The camera models carry eight FAKRA-Z inputs for GMSL1 or GMSL2: the RAC-1000-R32 on the AGX Orin 32GB at up to 200 TOPS, the RAC-1000-R64 on the AGX Orin 64GB at up to 275 TOPS, and the RAC-1000-IND on the AGX Orin Industrial 64GB at up to 248 TOPS. The RAC-1100 models replace the GMSL inputs with four Gigabit PoE+ ports on M12 at 25.5 W each, for six LAN ports in total: the RAC-1100-R32, RAC-1100-R64 and RAC-1100-IND, on the same three modules. The PoE budget is 60 W at 25 °C and 30 W at 70 °C, which is worth checking against the sensor load at the planned ambient temperature.

In practice the RAC-1000 series suits automated agricultural machinery, construction automation and mobile robotics, where the choice between GMSL and PoE usually follows the camera or lidar already specified. Vecow rates the fanless enclosure from -25 °C to 70 °C in 30 W mode and to 55 °C in 50 W mode, each with 0.63 m/s airflow, and lists MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration testing with EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 compliance. Every model runs JetPack 6 on Ubuntu 22.04.
